Sustainable Design and Low Impact Development

We worked closely with the project engineers, architects and city officials to design a campus master plan for the preferred long range improvements of the Howard Campus, a services center for Metro Nashville. The plan includes guidance for the type, location, size and sequence of building and site improvements, as well as compatibility standards for integrating the campus and surrounding neighborhood. Architectural design guidelines are also included. The location of the campus is of strategic, functional and historic importance. As a strategic site, the campus serves as a regional gateway to downtown. As a functional site, the campus serves as a major long-term government services center with expanded use. As a historic site, the campus serves as a unique model for expressing Nashville’s heritage.
