Text Box: The original campus is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and has played an important role in Nashville’s development since 1840. The location of Belmont within one of Nashville’s older and more desirable residential areas has presented special challenges to the development of the campus. Over the past 17 years, the campus has expanded from 37 acres to 78 acres. While employed with RM Plan Group, I assisted in providing strategic planning for every phase of development from land acquisition, to integration of new facilities in a compatible manner with existing residential neighborhoods, to preservation and reuse of the historically significant facilities.
